Rare Leopards Found

A new population of Bornean Clouded Leopards has been discovered on the island of Borneo after camera traps recently snapped pictures of two adult male cats. Bornean Clouded Leopards are the most recently discovered species of wild cats and have the distinction of having the longest fangs in proportion to body size in family felidae. More on them here.

The interesting thing is that these animals were photographed in a part of Borneo where extensive logging was suspected to have wiped clear most of the regional fauna and flora. This just goes to show the adaptability and survival instincts of cats in general and Clouded Leopards in particular - the apex predators on world's third largest island. More here:
